2025 Graduate Scheme Opportunities

We are excited to offer a range of roles as part of our 2025 Graduate Scheme. If you have already graduated or will be graduating in 2025 with at least a 2:1 degree, we encourage you to explore the available positions and apply to the role that best aligns with your degree.

Science

We look for curious and driven graduates with a Chemistry, Physics, Natural or Materials Science background. The Graduate roles are varied, working in Nuclear Operations, Fuel, Reactors and Reprocessing, Waste Management and Decommissioning and Compliance teams. You will have excellent interpersonal and organisations skills.

Engineering

Engineering is a fundamental part of what we do at NNL. Our Engineering graduates are involved with supporting the delivery of design packages, ensuring equipment on our sites is operated and maintained to appropriate standards, collaborating with scientists to design and carry out rig experiments, providing operational support within our laboratories and working with our modelling team to ensure our sites operate safely and efficiently. We have roles for graduates with Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical, Nuclear and Chemical Engineering degrees.

Mathematics and Statistics

Our Maths and Statistics graduates are involved in a variety of projects, from complex modelling of data to working with our radiological safety team. There will be the opportunity with other disciplines across the business, this might be using experimental design methods to maximise the information from a chemistry experiment whilst controlling costs or providing a fit for purpose safety case for one of our many projects.

Software Engineering

We are looking for graduates with a Software Engineering, Computing, or Digital related degree to work with software solutions including SharePoint applications, desktop applications for scientific calculations and hardware interfacing, business web application and enterprise (B2B) cloud webservices; and simulated robotic systems to support the control and safety of physical robot deployments. You will be enthusiastic about being involved in all aspects of software development and enjoy the challenge that developing a wide range of bespoke applications brings.

An opportunity to join our CISO function and play a part in empowering and enabling NNL to successfully create value with acceptable levels of information security, data privacy and cyber resilience.
