Nexia Solutions were a major sponsor of the recent ACTINIDES 2005 conference held at the University of Manchester and organised by our University Research Alliance – the Centre for Radiochemistry Research.

This conference series, held every 4 years, is the leading conference cycle in actinide science, covering the breadth of actinide science from fuel cycle, chemistry and physics, to biological and environmental applications.

Previous conferences have been held in Japan, Germany, USA, Russia and France. The conference attracted well over 300 researchers from around the world and included over 80 oral presentations from leading international scientists plus two very popular poster sessions. Special oral sessions to highlight growing networks in actinide science in Europe and in the UK were a key feature of the conference.
