Professor Andrew Sherry Appointed to Henry Royce Institute Board

NNL Chief Science and Technology Officer, Professor Andrew Sherry, has been appointed as one of four Partner Directors to the Henry Royce Institute Governing Board. Alongside the other Board members, the Partner Directors will be responsible for agreeing the vision, strategy and deliverables of The Royce, and will ensure that Royce delivers internationally competitive facilities and capability for research into advanced materials, accelerating translation of discoveries into applications, to provide significant impact for UK plc. The four Partner Directors are: 

  • Professor Neil Alford MBE FREng: Associate Provost for Academic Planning, Imperial College London
  • Professor Lisa Roberts: Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Research and Innovation, University of Leeds
  • Professor Andrew Sherry FREng: Chief Science and Technology Officer, National Nuclear Laboratory
  • Professor John Derrick Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation, University of Sheffield

Professor Sherry commented:
