Apprenticeships

If you've seen our advert looking for scientific apprentices, you can find out more about those roles here: http://jobsearch.nnl.co.uk/

For more general information about our apprenticeships, read on.

If you are looking for an apprenticeship opportunity in an organisation at the cutting edge of science and technology, NNL could offer the perfect entry point for your future career. We offer apprenticeships in a range of areas from engineering to project management and business administration. You’ll learn from pioneering industry specialists at some of the world’s leading facilities.

Of our previous apprentices, 95% have gone on to full-time employment with us.

We recognise that apprenticeships offer a real alternative to university based learning for many young people and have tailored our apprenticeship programme to meet your needs. We’ve called it “Beginner to Winner”. Our apprenticeships support your personal development as well as your professional training.

All our apprenticeships start with a four day induction. This will give you an understanding of the business, the programme you will follow and what we’ll expect from you during your apprenticeship. Following your induction, you’ll attend training sessions focusing on personal development every three months. These cover a range of skills from time management to team working. We even have a dedicated apprentice co-ordinator who is there to ensure that you are settling into your apprenticeship at NNL, both in the workplace and at college.

What does our Beginner to Winner apprentice programme involve?

All apprentices will combine on the job training at NNL with day release at college. To complete the qualification, you will need to show evidence for the set behaviours listed for your apprenticeship standard. We will continually support you in developing those skills and behaviours. Alongside your college time, we provide a two year, module based behavioural development programme.

Recruitment in this area tends to take place in January, so check back later to find out more details about specific roles and how to apply.
