In 1975 I joined UKAEA at the Culham Laboratory Theory Division, working on the plasma physics oftokamaks. In 1980 I joined BNFL, working on Sizewell B core design and safety justification. Later, I became involved in a broad range of projects within BNFL covering most aspects of the nuclear fuel cycle and reactor technology. Since working for NNL, I've been primarily involved in providing technical consultancy to external customers on a diverse range of reactor and fuel cycle projects.
First, I'm aiming to help enhance NNL's technical reputation through networking, developing NNL's skills strategy and developing a range of succession plans. Secondly, I'm looking to develop teaching and research links with Birmingham and Manchester universities.
