I have a BSc in Geology and a PhD in geochemistry. For 10 years I was a Research Fellow at the University of Manchester undertaking experimental and modelling research in sedimentary geochemistry applied to the petroleum industry. In 1997 I moved to the nuclear industry (BNFL) where I've since applied chemical modelling to environmental radiochemistry and geochemistry and continued my academic collaborations.
My goals for the near future are to build the scientific reputation of the NNL through my research and collaborative activities. I also aim to mentor and encourage my colleagues to develop their research interests and opportunities.
